The Last Goodbye

Losing your pet is one of the hardest things many people have to face.

We understand that losing your pet is one of the hardest things many people have to face. We try to do all we can to make that difficult decision a little easier and fully understand the feelings of grief and loss that many clients experience.  We can arrange an appointment at a quieter time at the practice or can arrange a home visit if that is your preference.

If at any time you feel you would like to talk to one of our team about the procedure, what to expect, when is the right time or what happens afterwards, then please book an appointment and we will go through as much or as little as you would like. Although we understand it is an extremely emotional subject, it is often good to discuss these things so you can prepare yourself in advance and consider what you would like to happen to your pet afterwards.

You can take your pet home and organise your own home burial or we can organise an individual or communal cremation through Pet Cremation Services in Guilsborough, Northamptonshire.  You can find out more about the services they offer here Services | PCS Northampton Pet Crematorium (pcsonline.org.uk) or by telephoning 01604 740864.

Please be aware that if you have booked an individual cremation for your pet then they will be collected from the practice on a Wednesday and the ashes will be delivered back to us the following Wednesday.  If you do not wish to wait this long then please speak to member of staff who will be happy to go through the alternative arrangements.

Further information regarding cremation options for your pet can be found in the booklet below. Please click the button below to download.

This is an extremely emotional subject, you are not alone.
